Jinju Castle (진주성)

Jinju castle is regarded as a sacred ground in Jinju and Korea as well.
We can see many historical place and traditional customs at this castle because there is a national museum in the castle.

Jinju castle was built in 1379 by King woo in Koryeo dynasty.
It was a beautiful old fortress which dated back to the 1500s when Koreans were, fighting Japan. This time, it took a courtesan to seduce the Japanese General, and sacrifice herself to throw him into the churning river to bring Korea back on its feet. For every attempt Japan has made, Korea always seem to fight back and win against impossible odds and numbers. They have held onto this land for thousands of years, and have triumphed over assimilation.

Chokseongnu

Chokseongnu is one of the most beautiful wooden building in Korea.
It was built in 1241 by King Kojong in Koryeo dynasty. It was called Jangwonnu as well.
This building was used as a command centre during the war and in the peaceful time, it was used as examination room.
